The Workshop on Sustainable Polymers and Circular Economy of Plastics (SusChem’24) will be held in Ischia, Italy, 1-4 September 2024.

The workshop will cover the main issues of polymer sustainability, including:

bio-based/biodegradable polymers

new monomers and new polymeric materials

innovative polymerization processes

mechanical and chemical recycling

A session will be devoted to case histories of companies focusing on polymer sustainability and to connections between the science and technology of plastics, social needs and policy.

A four-days programme will include plenary lectures by leading international scientists, oral communications and poster sessions involving all the participants in a relaxed atmosphere.

The workshop is organized by the University of Salerno and the Italian Chemical Society, Campania Section, under the auspices of AIM, the Italian Association of Macromolecular Science and Technology, in the framework of a collaborative project with the University “Federico II” of Naples, the University of Campania “L. Vanvitelli”, the University of Sannio and the Scuola Superiore Meridionale.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in the beautiful Ischia island next September.
